British comedian Dave Thompson has appeared in three feature films: ‘Maybe Baby’, written and directed by Ben Elton, ‘I Want Candy’, directed by Stephen Surgit, and ‘Huge’, directed by Ben Miller. Dave works continuously as a stand-up comedian, and has performed in twenty-five countries, including America, South Africa, Dubai, Canada, most countries in Europe, and cruise ships in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Known for his brilliant one-liners and zany persona, he’s written jokes for many TV stars, including Harry Hill, Ronnie Corbett, Bruce Forsyth, Jim Tavare, Ben Elton, and Stewart Lee.

TV programmes such as ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp’, and ‘The Sketch Show’ have commissioned Dave as a writer, and he’s appeared in most series of ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp’. Dave’s first novel ‘The Sex Life of a Comedian’ was published in 2011. He was in eight episodes of Al Murray’s sitcom ‘Time Gentlemen Please’, and one episode of Ben Elton’s sitcom ‘Blessed’. Despite appearing in many other TV shows such as ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’, and featuring in eleven TV commercials, Dave is best known as the person inside the Tinky Winky costume in ‘Teletubbies’, which is still shown all over the world.
